Nice! |
Awesome nightlight for the little fishys.
The two blue led's are just the right brightness for my twenty gal. tank to illuminate a small section.
I bought one and installed it under the tank lid. This is a No-No!! Within 6 months it corroded and fell apart. Well, duh...
The manufacture did offer a replacement if I had a receipt. I didn't. Oh well...
For the secone one I drilled two holes in the lid, covered them with cellophane packaging tape to keep water out, and used double sided sticky tape to mount the light on top. No problem!!

great product |

I bought only one because I thought it would be more shiny but it really takes two of them for my 20gal tank. Will follow the advice from other reviewer to install it in a 45° angle. . . |

Happy but let me give you some advice... |
Installation of the lights was pretty easy. I just tucked them into my hood without installing them. I would favor this over screwing them into the your hood. When it became dark, I noticed that the light was a little sparse. I was able to tweak this by tilting some of the lights to get better coverage. Once you have a better idea of what direction you want your lights to go, a more permanent installation can be done.
That said, I still think the lighting is just a little too dark in many areas. I bought four lights (one, plus the three extensions) for my 50 gal tank (measures 48x24x12). The ad recommends one light per 2 feet. There are no other places on my hood to fit more extensions. This might not be much of a problem if you are lighting a smaller aquarium or an aquarium with different dimensions.
Overall, I will admit that I am satisfied with the new nightly glow. I enjoy watching my fish in the night. I would really recommend buying this with the nighttime/daytime power strip so you don't have to worry about turning the lights on and off. |

WOW... |
I don't have to say anything else. The lights are great, but just remember; "Lunar Link" it tells you right there, its a link. Make sure you buy this one that says "Lunar Light" first, it comes with a plug.
The Nocturnal Blue LED's are very bright, DON'T LOOK AT THEM DIRECTLY.
I have a 30 Gal., so i bought the "Lunar light and Link" it was a perfect fit. Just had to do a little modification to my tank light, and you can't even see that their there. Check out the photos i posted, under the Lunar link product page. |
