Good overall package, watch out for the light! |
I bought one of these for my father, who used to have larger tanks and several fish. I wanted to send him something affordable that would include the entire package. I also sent him a few freshwater shrimp, which are neat to watch and require little care and space.
The tank was easy to set up and had clear instructions, and everything ran smoothly. I spent some time looking at various all-inclusive tanks, and thought this was the best. Many people seemed happy with it, especially the filter.
Instead, the light on this thing is so bright and hot it raised the water to 90 degrees. The shrimp literally cooked.
If you want to replace the lamp with a better bulb, I recommend this tank. Or, if you want to keep those bacteria that live near lava vents, this would be your best bet. Otherwise, steer clear! |
